For many years, the school was linked with a convent. The infants were located in Cadogan Square until 1985 when the building was demolished, and they moved onto the Earle Rd site with the juniors. Mike SLADE remembers how bitter the winters were - particularly for boys who had to wear short trousers! He also remembers Mrs WALKER who had been there for many years when he was a pupil there in the mid 1960s. She wore tweed suits and ‘100 denier’ hose - he is still terrified of her! Sister Camillus was Headteacher of the infants in the 1970s, when my mother Pauline ROBERTS taught here.
