Schools are listed alphabetically.  There is still quite a bit of work to do untangling all the St Mary’s and the Kirkdale Industrial schools, but I’m getting there.  Please send in any clarification or help. Some schools may not be listed where you expect - for example, at the moment St Mary’s in Walton is listed as Walton St Mary (its current name). I hope to resolve these issues in time!

Liverpool Record Office has literally thousands of records. Some are more useful than others. Typing ‘school’ in their online catalogue search generates 2,500 records.  Not all are equally useful, mind.  If you type in the name (or part name) of a specific school you will find exactly what there is in the library.  There’s so much - it’s easier to go straight to it yourself!
