St Christopher R.C

Not sure when this photo was taken - even a detailed fashion analysis yielded nothing! Probably 1970s. My friend Margaret - who attended the Juniors in the 1960s - says this is the infant playground, from the Junior building with the cinder path down the right hand side. The juniors went over this way for lunch.

In the background, you can also see St Christopher’s Church, which has since been demolished. The size of the church tells us something about the size of the school at the time!

Photo from Liverpool Record Office; published with permission from St Christopher’s Primary School, Speke.

The school celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2002. Infants and Juniors have now amalgamated.
