The two sites were built separately; the infants (right, and below in 1972, courtesy of Liverpool Record Office) opened in the late 1920s. The Junior Boys’ School met for the first time in August 1939 taking pupils from Pinefurst Infants, Townsend Lane Infants and Townsend Lane Boys’ School. To begin with, classes were held in the old Townsend Lane building. Recently amalgamated from separate infant and junior schools.
