This school was erected by Liverpool School Board, opening in 1898. The school was blessed with a large drill room.
The 1903 manual states that a Mixed Infants school in Westminster Rd was carried on in connection with this school. This later became a separate school in its own right - Westminster Rd, later St Lawrence.
Amalgamated with Daisy St in 1978 to form Kirkdale School which, in turn, amalgamated with St Lawrence, Westminster Rd around 2000. The new school (Kirkdale St Lawrence) is located in a new building further down Fonthill Rd, and the original Fonthill Rd site is, as you can see, a community centre.
