Jim EVANS, former pupil from 1951-56, sent me this photo of the school when it first opened.

My brothers attended this school, run by the Christian Brothers. Brother ALBAN was head when they were there, and when it amalgamated with other schools (St Philomena’s Boys, St Matthew’s Boys, St Swithin’s Boys and St Teresa’s Boys) in 1983.  The school has its own website.

Last time I visited (about 2007) there was a large cardboard cut-out of alumnus  Wayne ROONEY in the reception area.
